The Nevada Gaming Control Board has banned Draft Kings and Fan Duel and any other daily fantasy sports sites from operating in the State. The two biggest daily fantasy sites have been operating for a long time so it is unclear why the gaming board just now ordered a cease and desist.
Could it be pressure from the Nevada Sports books? Many of the Sports books have been complaining about the fantasy sites cutting in on legal sports gambling. The fantasy sites claim that they do not need a gaming license since they are a game of skill not a game of chance.
